I’m planning to re-launch the blog (AGAIN!!), but this time under a different name and with more related content (such as web development news, tools and resources). I’ve never liked neither the name or the domain of my blog. I think it’s too personal for this kind of blog. And the “.ws” TLD is just… bad.
I’ve been trying to come up with a name for way too long. So now I’m willing to pay you just to come up with a decent name for my site. The name should be:

How frustrated would you feel if you visited another country to find that all the maps you need to use for your travels are terrible written/drawn? That’s almost the same thing people feel when visiting a web site with a bad navigation, except that they can visit another web site (or hit the “back” button) in an instant. They won’t spend much time trying to figure things out.

Two essential things many amateur web designers/developers tend to miss these days:
- Support for web standards/conventions.
- Common sense.
The first might not interfere with the visitors’ experience (it’s still important though), but the second, which these 9 things I’m going to mention belong to, impacts it directly. Even if you completely ignore number 1, you could still apply common sense with little to no effort:

The end of this year concludes my “learning” phase for Web Design as I’m slowly moving into Web Development (back-end). I was able to achieve three milestones in 2006: The first was the one of a kind Web Design course I taught, the second was my first experience as a freelancer, and the third was something that I will announce by the end of January 2007.
