As we’re reaching the end of the year, I thought of sharing some of what I think was the best in 2007 in some random categories. So here goes:
Podcast:

TWIT (This Week In Tech). A podcast on everything technology-related.
Why?
Perhaps because it’s the only tech podcast I’ve listened to that’s actually funny and interesting. Oh, and John C. Dvorak. I love that guy’s honesty and sense of humor.

First of all, let me explain what I mean by Web Design here: It’s the process of designing the interface of a web site, which involves images, HTML and CSS. No Javascript, because that really doesn’t count as “design”.
I’ve been involved in web design for about 3 years now. What started as something very exciting is now something very boring and repetitive. There are hardly any new things to learn when you reach a certain level. It doesn’t take many years, and I’m certainly almost there already.

The end of this year concludes my “learning” phase for Web Design as I’m slowly moving into Web Development (back-end). I was able to achieve three milestones in 2006: The first was the one of a kind Web Design course I taught, the second was my first experience as a freelancer, and the third was something that I will announce by the end of January 2007.
